The unique and proven Thermosafe Induction Drum Heater range has passed the stringent International IECEx standards allowing installation and use in potentially explosive atmospheres

The European ATEX certification was achieved well before it became a legally binding requirement for users of electrical equipment in hazardous areas, and the IECEx certificate widens geographic acceptance to any country within the scheme USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and many other industrialised countries are members

A full list of countries, and the on-line version of the THERMOSAFE certificate are listed on the LMK Thermosafe website.

The units have been certified to the latest ATEX harmonised standard EN 60079-7 for both gases and dusts, in all gas groups, zones 1 and 2 for gases, 21 and 22 for dusts.

A very special part of the complete system certification is that the surface of the drum is always the hottest point, as there are no traditional heating elements, and no individual components to fail or fatigue.

Energy is transferred directly from the drum wall into the material being heated, so even difficult solids can be melted much faster than by alternative methods, and the outer surfaces of the unit are never as hot as the drum.

Thus explosive atmosphere and personnel safety risks are both minimised, whilst maximising energy efficiency.

The standard T class temperature rating yields drum temperatures of 123C with our type "A" Induction Heater, but this can be increased with accessories to 170C or reduced for T4 or even T5 zoned areas.

The standard IP66 (hose-down) rating ensures that the unit will continue safe operation even if accidentally splashed with hot liquids or hosed down in use.

Customers around the world continue to verify the excellent value for money this unit represents, with attractive initial costs coupled to uniquely low energy and maintenance costs, over a life expectancy of at least fifteen years! No regular maintenance or servicing is required, so lifetime costs are proving to be incredibly low.
