Landia pump ultra-reliable at Kerry Ingredients

A Landia product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team May 22, 2008

Caustic washes and heavy fats can't stop the Landia DGR-I pump from working at optimum performance levels for Kerry Ingredients, the leading makers of authentic and cost-effective food products

Installed at the beginning of 2007, just ahead of the site effluent plant at Listowel, County Kerry, Ireland, the horizontally-mounted 4kW Landia pump has proved extremely reliable, as the Kerry Ingredients Services Manager, Sean Pender explains: "Despite some of the very aggressive process environments, the Landia pump has been totally reliable, with not one single failure.

Downtime because of breakdowns isn't an option for us, so we are very satisfied with our investment in such a dependable piece of equipment".

The Landia submersible DGR-I pump, which has been produced in an acid-proof stainless steel, handles washes from a variety of high quality Kerry Ingredients products, including butters, coatings, proteins and snack flavourings.
