Startup and shutdown represent the most critical time periods in the life of any motor or shaker screen: excessive vibrations or resonance causes unnecessary wear, so fit Rosta AB oscillating mounts

Startup and shutdown might represent the most critical time periods in the life of any motor or shaker screen Until the screen adjusts to the correct frequency, excessive vibrations or resonance causes unnecessary wear on surrounding equipment, is detrimental to safety and can push critical volume above OSHA noise regulations

Larger loads and heavy-duty applications found the Lovejoy Rosta AB oscillating mount the best-engineered solution for shock absorption, to help reduce vibration, improve equipment safety and extend equipment life.

However, why buy a full-size SUV when a mid-sized will do.

Lovejoy introduces the new, compact, Rosta AB-D oscillating mount designed for smaller screen applications, with the best value per pound of capacity on the market.

The new AB-D product line from Lovejoy helps meet the challenge in a lighter duty operation that calls for the same type of shock absorption as in a larger-load operation, yet requires greater economies of scale.

Lovejoy Rosta oscillating mount for any application should involve a Lovejoy field sales engineer; several variables must be factored in and much has to do with the stroke of the machine.

Compared to common alternatives, such as coil springs, the AB-D linear system has design advantages to eliminate resonance, helping compensate for the problems shaker screens experience during startup and shutdown.

Coil springs or marshmallows inherently want to move in 360 degrees, due to their design and cannot help solve this common resonance problem.

The Rosta mount type AB-D was created specifically for free oscillating screens and shaker conveyors suspensions with drive frequency below 12 Hz.

This component's compact design fits into tight spaces for ideal integration into existing screen systems.

The AB-D unit consists of two series of connected Rosta double rubber suspensions and offers a high isolation rate of approximately 98% towards sub frame and building structure with its low natural frequency of 3.6 to 3.2 Hz.

The design also eliminates the need for side-snubbers - the sixteen rubber elements in the Rosta model absorb inertia in the screen box within seconds.

The high degree of lateral stiffness gives fully assured screen box fixation; transportation clamps for mobile screening plants are not needed.

Furthermore, this also eliminates the need to install expensive vibrating motors or exciters with electro-magnetic brake systems.

Finally, the Rosta AB-D gives the best coat:load relation of any system on the market.

By eliminating the need for auxiliary parts, such as side-snubbers or more expensive brake systems, the overall operational design is simplified and parts inventory reduced.

And the rubber elements in the Rosta design, that absorb the shock are designed to last a long time, requiring no lubrication or other maintenance.

Four sizes in this new compact line are currently available.

The Rosta mounts type AB-D have been standardised for the following load capacities per element: AB-D 18 = 600 to 1200 N, AB-D 27 = 1000 to 2500 N, AB-D 38 = 2000 to 4000 N, AB-D 45 = 3500 to 6000 N.

The new, compact Lovejoy/Rosta AB-D oscillating mounts, designed for lighter load, compact operations, represents just one of the many lines of solution-engineered products from Lovejoy.

Founded in 1900, Lovejoy enjoys an international reputation as the leading company specialising in flexible coupling design and development.
