Lloyd International increases its stake in the global translation industry, with sales increasing by an impressive 62% over the same period in 2005

Achieving record results for the first half year 2006, Lloyd International increased sales by an impressive 62% over the same period in 2005 as the company increases its stake in the global translation industry.

Already this year Lloyd International has become a preferred supplier for a global manufacturer of construction machinery.

Focusing on providing a full translation and Desktop Publishing service for operator and service manuals the company is currently translating into over 20 languages.

Lloyd International also has a strengthened position in the digital print industry by attaining preferred supplier status for all marketing communications for a digital technology giant, translating into all major European languages.

Lloyd International has also enhanced their reputation for translations on scientific instrumentation, turning around a 300,000-word publication in under 12 weeks.

The translation processes at Lloyds have become more streamlined with the Technical Department developing macros to batch process bulk numbers of XLIFF files to ensure only the specified text is localised.

This continued success has required sustained growth within the business, seeing the appointment of several new staff members, notably: Paul Renehan joins LIT as Managing Director, allowing founder Mike Lloyd to take up the position of Company Chairman.

Paul brings with him a wealth of experience from within the localisation sector.

Sarah will also be responsible for the vendor gateway, facilitating 24/7 accessibility.
