Larox LPP-D15 pump selected for dosing application

A Larox Flowsys product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Nov 7, 2008

Larox Flowsys has revealed that its LPP-D15 pump has been chosen by a customer in the US to pump grinding aid poly glycol in accurate doses during the cement making process.

Poly glycol is added to the cement prior to the final grinding circuit.

The customer was gravity feeding using a manual valve controlling the grinding aid to the circuit and was not satisfied because it could not properly control the dosage.

A Larox pump was chosen for the application.

A VFD is used to control the pump flow to the circuit to adjust grinding aid dosage.

The LPP-D15 pump has a high turndown ratio, which Larox said makes it ideal for dosing in all process conditions.

Finite control provides proper dosing to the system.

The pump is operating with high viscous media.

Grinding aids such as glycol, amines and acetic acid help cement particles to flow efficiently, which reduces grinding energy and results in increasing product through put.
