A comprehensive line of protective atmosphere elevator quench furnaces combines a pre-heat section, hardening chamber, cooling vestibule and quench tank in one integrated unit

A comprehensive line of protective atmosphere elevator quench furnaces combines a pre-heat section, hardening chamber, cooling vestibule and quench tank in one integrated unit The furnaces, which are designed for 2100 degrees F operation, are available in eight standard sizes, ranging in workload capacity from 15 to 55 pounds

Furnaces in the series (#7022 EQ) are ideal for low production, scale-free applications.

To guard against exposure of the workload to the oxidising effects of air, the system features:.

* A continuously controlled atmosphere -- from hardening chamber through vestibule to quench tank -- to maintain workload protection throughout the heat-treating operation.

* An inner, vertical lift door separating the work chamber form the vestibule.

* An alloy retort, gasketed to the inner door assembly, to segregate atmosphere and workload from the refractory and heating elements.

The series is available with a number of options, including pusher rod assembly, air-operated doors, fan-or-water-cooled vestibule, quench tank agitation and heating, sight ports, flowmeter and regulator.

Other options include:.

* Flammable/combustible atmosphere operation -- with the addition of required safety equipment.

* Fully automated operation -- with the addition of sequencing timer, push rod assembly, and automatic door and elevator operations.

* Continuous feed operation with pre-heat section, hardening chamber, and vestibule in a straight through configuration.

All furnaces are standard with digital temperature controls and are completely pre-wired, tested and shipped ready for connection to user's power and atmosphere supply.

Furnaces operate on 230 or 460V supply voltage; the control system is on 115 volts.
