Malvern Process Systems, the on-line particle sizing division of Malvern Instruments, has seen over a 40% increase in sales of its Insitec on-line particle sizers in the past 12 months

Especially significant advances have been made in Asia and the pharmaceutical and minerals processing industries, with high levels of repeat business A series of new appointments to Malvern Process Systems sales, customer support and engineering teams underpins this substantial growth

Malvern Process Systems was established as a division of Malvern Instruments at the end of 2001 and focuses on the development, production and implementation of intelligent process solutions for particulate systems.

Craig Howarth, Business Director for Malvern Process Systems, said: "The level of growth we have achieved is especially pleasing against the current background of recession in manufacturing industry.

Manufacturing industry is now focused on process optimisation and process intensification.

On-line measurements that bring process understanding and real-time control are of increasing value".

Malvern Process Systems has a programme of development in-house and increasingly works in concert with partner companies whose experience and expertise is complementary to its own.

Recent collaborations include the development, with Hosokawa Micron, of Intellimill, an intelligent milling system with widespread application.
