Industrial rheology seminar at Leeds
University
Materials characterization company Malvern Instruments is supporting a seminar on industrial rheology organised by the Industrial Centre of Particle Science and Engineering, at Leeds University
There is no charge for attending the seminar which takes place on 27 November 2007 and includes lunch and refreshments Participants will have the opportunity to learn about rheological concepts and particulate behaviour, and will gain an appreciation of experimental design
The programme includes: an introduction to the basic concepts of rheology; the rheology of particulate dispersions; designing rheological experiments to simulate storage, processing, application and end use; some of the relationships between rheology and particle size; and measuring the yield stress of settled beds.
There will also be a tour of labs and the rheology clinic.
