Particle analysis for wet and dry process streams

A Malvern Instruments product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Feb 21, 2008

Malvern Instruments will exhibit Insitec and Parsum particle characterization systems for real-time process measurement at this year's International Powder and Bulk Solids show in Rosemont, Illinois

Alongside will be the industry-leading Mastersizer 2000 laser diffraction particle size analyser, and the new Morphologi G3 automated particle characterisation system which provides high quality, statistically significant particle size and shape information.

Malvern has experience in practically every particulate processing industry and offers complete solutions for in-process particle size analysis, monitoring and control.

Systems for dry powder analysis include the new lighter-weight Insitec Voyager, which can be operated at- or on-line providing real-time analysis where and when required.

It is an integral part of the successful Malvern consultancy service, used to demonstrate, in-situ, the potential of continuous process analysis.

Two new options for the Parsum IPP-70 in-line particle size measurement probe are designed to simplify regulatory compliance for pharmaceutical applications, where the system is used to monitor and control granulation, coating and spray drying processes.

For wet processes, the flexible design of the Insitec LPS enables the system to be tailored for specific process applications.

Incorporating a sampler, pre-diluter, cascade diluter and measurement cell, the Insitec LPS is a fully automated system for measurement of almost any wet stream.

The Malvern team will be on hand throughout the show to discuss specific particle characterization issues.
