"Matrox developed PowerDesk-SE 2.04 in response to requests for more advanced display configurations," said Samuel Recine, business development manager, Matrox Graphics: "We understand that in high-reliability environments, our customers need to see - and know - the entire situation.
Customising displays across multiple screens gives them the flexibility they need to visualise all incoming data and see their bigger picture".
PowerDesk-SE 2.04 includes the Joined graphics card mode, a feature that enables two Matrox multi-display graphics cards to work in tandem in several Microsoft Windows desktop combinations.
Using the following modes, you can either stretch or clone multiple displays:.
* Stretch: use both graphics cards to form one desktop across multiple monitors.
* Clone: view a copy of one display on all other displays.
* Twin-stretch: use one graphics card to stretch one desktop across multiple displays and clone this desktop to displays driven by the second graphics card.
* Twin-independent: use one graphics card to view information independently on multiple displays, and clone the outputs to the independent displays driven by the second graphics card.
Additional features include PowerRes mode, which offers increased widescreen resolution support, and Pivot mode, which allows for hardware rotation of one or more displays into portrait view.
