Static elimination improves film quality
Static has always been a problem in film production and very high static charges can be generated in this process, particularly at the stretching and winding stages.
The Guide is illustrated with full-colour diagrams and covers the range of printing processes that can be adversely affected by static.
These include litho, flexo, gravure, screen, ink jet, digital and tampo printing, as well as print finishing operations.
Problems such as poor print quality, double sheet feeding, poor stacking and delivery and the risk of fire and explosions are discussed along with practical advice on how these problems can be avoided.
"Static Solutions to Improve Production and Profitability in the Printing Industry" is available free of charge as hard copy or in PDF format.
