H Fereday and Sons, weighing and catering equipment manufacturers since 1862, is to take the next step in product design with 3D digital prototyping

With the help of Autodesk solutions and training provider, Micro Concepts, H Fereday is implementing Autodesk Inventor to reduce time to market and eliminate design errors for its Caterlux and Weylux products In addition, the use of 3D digital prototyping will also keep manual intervention in transferring designs from the production office to the manufacturing floor to a minimum, an important area for saving both time and costs

"The company's legacy with Autodesk products made the 3D and digital prototyping capabilities of Inventor a natural next step," says H Fereday and Sons general manager, Richard Knight: "Micro Concepts is the ideal partner to help us make the leap to 3D and will ensure our operators are competent with the new technology as quickly as possible".

"State-of-the-art technology is essential for all manufacturers to keep ahead of this highly competitive industry and it is important that they have the support to apply its functionality for their individual needs," says Mark Lavery of Micro Concepts: "Micro Concepts prides itself on getting to the heart of users' operations and tailoring its solutions and training around that".
