The Moody Oil Addition System, designed and installed by Moody Systems, has helped to produce an award-winning food product: the Angel Technology cholesterol-lowering alternative to cheese

A custom built piece of equipment, designed and installed by Moody Systems has helped to produce an award-winning food product.

The Moody Oil Addition System is used to make the Angel Technology cholesterol-lowering alternative to cheese, known as 'Heartily Healthy', which has recently won the award for the 'best UK food product 2004' at the SIAL food trade exhibition.

Adam Archer, Managing Director, Moody Systems comments: "This equipment has been custom made for Angel Technology and is unlike any other in the industry.

It has been designed in a unique way which enables vegetable oil to be added and mixed into skimmed milk.

Then, following a traditional cheddar cheese making recipe, this results in a hard cheese alternative that can lower cholesterol - the only cheese of its kind in the world".

Richard Dodd, Operations Director at Angel Technology said: "We are delighted to have won this award which is testament to the innovation and complexity behind this product.

Thanks to Moody Systems we have developed a leading piece of equipment which ensures we maintain our leading position in the food technology market.

"Our nine-year partnership with Moody Systems has proved to be very successful.

It provides us with a flexible and cost-effective service with excellent after-sales support.

As a result we will be working closely with Moody Systems in the future to further help develop our business".

Heartily Healthy is available in Sainsbury's, Asda, Waitrose, Morrisons and Safeway.
