MTL introduces cost saving fieldbus Process JBs

MTL Instruments has launched its new series of Process JB Junction Boxes for fieldbus installations.

The MTL Process JBs are designed for mounting Megablock fieldbus wiring components, terminators, spur connectors and surge protection devices.

The standard proven designs of the JBs reduce project engineering costs, while their corrosion resistant materials make them suitable for the harshest of environments.

Process JBs are easy to install and maintain.

The Process JB range benefits from the MTL experience of working with its customers on the SECCO and Nanhai projects, the world's 2 largest fieldbus projects installed so far.

On both of the projects the engineering costs were significantly reduced due to approval of the Process JBs.

By designing the Process JB range to conform to stringent industry norms, it is expected that the standard range of junction boxes will meet the requirements of most applications.

The Process JB product range is suitable for Zone2/Division 2, Zone 1/Division 1 intrinsically safe and Zone 1 increased safety applications.

Process JB enclosures offer generous space for cable terminations and a wide choice of cable gland types.

The series includes junction boxes pre-drilled for one segment having trunk in, trunk out and 4 spur connections, one trunk and 10 or 12 spur connections, or two segments having one multicore trunk connection and 20 or 24 spur connections.

The product range includes both painted stainless steel, carbon loaded polyester and polished stainless steel junction boxes with a wide range of cable gland options to meet the exacting requirements of process industry customers.
