Corrugated furnaces are typically more expensive to manufacture than plain furnaces but offer a number of distinct benefits.
The corrugations make them more flexible than traditional designs, which reduces the effect of thermal stress and extends the life of the boiler.
The new range consists of the Shellmax CE and Revotherm CE boilers, which can be fired on light or heavy oil or on gas.

The Shellmax is a conventional three pass wet back design.
It is available with capacities from 1,000 kg/hr to 20,000 kg/hr and output pressures of 10.54 barg and 17.5 barg.
The unit is designed to provide an efficiency of 89 per cent on NCV of the fuel.
A heat recovery unit (called an economiser) can be incorporated to increase efficiency to 95 per cent.
The Revotherm is a reverse flame, three pass unit available with capacities from 500 kg/hr to 8,000 kg/hr and output pressures of 10.54 barg and 17.5 barg.
It incorporates spiral gas agitators in the convective tubes which regulate the temperature of the exit gas and create turbulent flow of flue gases even during partial load operation.
The boilers have been designed to be easy to install, maintain and operate.
Each has built-in unrestricted access to the water side of the boiler.
Forced draught burners are mounted at the front of the boiler with heat resistant doors which can be opened in a matter of minutes to facilitate access to the fireside.
The burners installed provide fully automatic operation.
Pressure parts for the new range of boilers are being manufactured at the Thermax production facility in India, which is registered to ISO 9001.
These components are designed and constructed to European Standard BSEN 12953 and will be independently inspected by Lloyds Register, the certification of which is accepted by UK insurance authorities.
Final assembly of the boilers will be carried out in the UK.
Thermax can also provide boiler pressure parts manufactured in the UK.
The Shellmax CE and Revotherm CE boilers are supplied fully insulated with factory fitted ancillary items.
A comprehensive after sales service is provided by the Thermax Process Heat Product Support Division.
Complementing the Thermax boilers, the Deltatherm Thermal Fluid Heaters provide heat outputs from 116kw to 5230kw and can be fired with heavy and light oils or natural gas.
The Deltatherm can be supplied in either horizontal or vertical configuration.
