Tighter process control in acid pickling baths
Online ion chromatography from Metrohm has enabled tighter process control of acid pickling baths, as the final cleaning stage prior to metal plating
The analyser utilises the unique Dynamic Standard Addition (DSA) methodology to remove interferences and validate each and every result as correct.
The analysis is capable of determining fluoride down to 0.3 mg/l with a maximum calibrated range of 10 mg/l.
The Alert 2003 for fluoride is available in single or dual stream versions and the range can be adjusted by changing the standard solution used for automatic calibration.
Calibration can be programmed for a user-defined frequency along with additional cleaning programmes where required.
The running costs are kept to a minimum by low reagent use, typically less than 2ml of buffer and 1ml of fluoride standard per analysis, and minimal consumables.
Attendance for planned maintenance is usually carried out on an annual basis.
Applikon Analytical is part of the Metrohm group of companies and represented exclusively by Metrohm UK.
In addition to the sale of analysers Metrohm UK provide a full customer service including spares, training and service contracts.
