A FREE Metrohm seminar on process analysis discusses both at-line and on-line analytical techniques, and their differences, on 6th March at the Priestfield Stadium, in Gillingham, Kent.

This event will be ideal for process chemists, chemical engineers, process engineers, production staff, plant chemists, plant managers, QC chemists and lab managers.

The two distinct sections of the presentation will discuss firstly 24 Hour QC analysis in the process area, at several sampling points, broadly described as 'At-Line Analysis', using Metrohm Process Lab.

This would involve determination of salt, acidity, alkalinity, SO2, vitamin C, KF titration, chloride or plating solutions.

Secondly, the Applikon On-Line Analysis techniques will be described under the heading 'Bridging the Gap between Process and Laboratory' for determinations using techniques such as ISE (Ion Selective Electrodes), Colorimetry, Titration and KF Titration.

The day's agenda will be.

09:30 Introduction to Metrohm.

09:45 In-line, At-line On-line - What's the Difference? 10:30 The Process Lab - a complete overview.

11:30 The Applikon Range for on-line analysis.

14:00 Process Lab - Applications.

14:45 Process Control with the Process Lab.
