Metrohm titrator allows chemical analysis of wine

A Metrohm (UK) product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Sep 7, 2009

The Metrohm Wine Titrino is a compact titrator with an LCD screen for real-time curve representation.

It is intended for universal use as it offers all the important basic methods used in practice.

Titration methods can be stored in the instrument's internal memory, as well as on a memory card, which makes them transportable to other laboratories and wineries.

The application file contains 25 methods taking into account the international regulations for the analysis of wines and musts from the EU, Australia and New Zealand, Israel, Switzerland, South Africa, South America and the US.

The file contains detailed method descriptions, with parameters and titration curve examples as well as examples about the determination of: pH value; total titratable acidity; free sulphurous acid; total sulphurous acid; volatile acids; fixed acidity; ascorbic acid (vitamin C); reducing sugars; carbon dioxide; ash and ash alkalinity; calcium and magnesium; chloride; total phosphorus; sulphate; and Na, NH4, K, F and alcohol.

Metrodata Vesuv 3.0 Light, a PC program for the acquisition of titration data offering useful database functions, is included in the system.
