New fieldbus communications ability on
Eclipse 705
The newest Magnetrol PACTware DTM is designed for use with the Eclipse Model 705, a GWR radar probe for level and interface measurement, with Foundation fieldbus communications
After the Magnetrol introduction of free PACTware in 2007, many Eclipse 705 users have discovered its advantages The actual HART DTMs are all certified and tested for full compatibility through dtmINSPECTOR, which is the official test protocol that verifies the compatibility of DTMs with all FDT related technology

PACTware (or any other FDT Frame program) allows the user to troubleshoot and configure units remotely, an important asset within the complex software links in bus communication.
The new Foundation fieldbus DTM can be shared over the internet and e-mail thereby involving top specialists from all over the world to help solve a field problem without dismantling a field instrument.
PACTware is a FDT Frame programme that communicates bi-directionally with almost any type of communication protocol (e.g HART / Foundation fieldbus / Profibus).
It offers a universal and user-friendly alternative to all kinds of proprietary instrument software and field hand held devices.
PACTware is an open platform that allows linking the communication of field devices and components from different suppliers and operating all these instruments in the same manner.
The Eclipse 705 is a 2-wire loop-powered level and liquid-liquid interface transmitter with HART, Foundation fieldbus or Profibus PA communication protocols on board.
Its capability to measure under HTHP process conditions (+430C/430bar), in steam or highly viscous hydrocarbons makes the Eclipse 705 one of the most popular replacements for traditional level transmitters such as torque tubes and DP cells.
All Eclipse 705 coaxial GWR probes are overfill safe.
This construction allows accurate measurement up to the process connection, which mechanically prevents signal loss in the critical zone.
