Martindale suggests EasyPAT 1600 for basic testing

As the HSE continues its campaign for sensible risk management, PAT specialist Martindale is reminding firms that a basic tester could be all that's needed to ensure safety.

The HSE campaign aims to promote the sensible assessment and management of risk rather than create an unrealistically overprotective environment and growing numbers of organisations are signing up to it.

With its one button, one test approach, the EasyPAT 1600 is a suitable manual PAT for those needing to do a basic test as quickly as possible while still fulfilling legal requirements.

The EasyPAT 1600 can carry out both mandatory tests (for continuity and insulation) and fuse tests.

It includes 25A, 8A and 100mA earth bond tests, selectable with a rocker switch.

An extension lead tester is used to test IEC leads (this can also be used to test 110V extension leads with a Marex331 adaptor).

It is also capable of testing 110V and 240V appliances.
