IMC specialises in the design and manufacture of 316 stainless steel valves, and having invested in production facilities is now reorganising the sales force to communicate better with customers

Over 2 million pounds sterling is being invested by International Motion Control (IMC) at its Midlands based manufacturing facility The investment has seen a move towards lean production techniques, including new machine tools and staff training with the aim to reduce production cycle times, improve quality, reduce customer lead times and increase manufacturing capacity

To help realise new production targets and satisfy increasing demand, IMC has also appointed new management in the quality control, purchasing, and sales departments.

UK MD Peter Evans comments, "Manufacturing companies have to evolve constantly in order to stay competitive, and IMC is no exception.

IMC specialises in the design and manufacture of 316 stainless steel valves, pneumatic cylinders, manifold control valves, pneumatic valves, air preparation equipment, ancillaries, sub zero valves, custom valve products and fire safety systems.

The main target markets for these products are the international process oil, gas and petrochemical industries, all of which are seeing strong growth at the moment".

With the aim of increasing channels of communication for customers, opening and exploring new territories and bringing on new distributors, IMC has increased its sales capacity, deploying experienced people into key roles.

Alan Marston will now head up Distribution for Alcon Solenoid Valves and Landon Kingsway, John Arrowsmith is the new UK Sales Manager for Midland-ACS concentrating on the oil and gas market as well as the rail industry.

John Smallshaw takes up the role of Hydraulic Systems Proposals Manager.

John's new role will help reduce the lead time when specifying hydraulic systems.

This in turn enables Dave Whatmore to become the IMC product specialist for hydraulic valves.

In UK and Europe Kevin Bowen will be the Alcon and Landon Kingsway Sales Manager. Request free introductory details about products from Midland ACS ...
