Connect Mitutoyo gauge directly into PC
or PDA!
MicroRidge introduces a low cost interface that connects a Mitutoyo or Mitutoyo compatible gauge to an RS232 serial port easily and inexpensively, saving you time and money
MicroRidge introduces the GageWay SM for easily connecting a single Mitutoyo or Mitutoyo compatible gage to an RS232 serial port The GageWay SM design incorporates the latest technology resulting in a small digital interface that is powered by the serial port, has a 9-pin serial cable built in and requires no set-up

Abhisam Software has just released a new CD based training course on Hazardous Area Instrumentation: this is available as either a stand alone single user license or as a multi-user license
Very low power consumption allows use with a laptop or PDA.
If your PC does not have a serial port, an optional USB interface cable is available.
Because of its small size (2.16"x0.79"x0.35"), the GageWay SM becomes part of the cable allowing greater flexibility for cabling set-up.
Transmit gage data in excess of 100' via the RS232 connection, which allows positioning of the gage at extended distances from a PC.
Single and continuous read modes can be initiated from the computer, by gage read switch, or by remote read switch (foot switch, etc).
The GageWay firmware (software in the GageWay SM) can be updated in the field via the serial port.
Firmware updates are posted on the MicroRidge web site.
We often get asked, "Why do I need to purchase a gauge interface to connect my gauge to a PC?" The Mitutoyo compatible gauges use a signalling method referred to as clocked serial.
The electronics of the Mitutoyo communications interface are very power efficient.
This power efficiency, along with the very low power required by the GageWay SM, makes for an excellent instrument interface for portable and inspection station data acquisition.
A complete GageWay SM includes the interface with 18 or 72 inch serial cable length (custom lengths available upon request), User Manual, and CD-ROM with ComTestSerial communications test program for USD99.
The GageWay SM can be purchased from the MicroRidge online store, and is featured in an introductory special on the Online Specials page.
