New low cost process controllers and
indicators
Five new, low cost process controllers and indicators from Micro-Epsilon offer customers a comprehensive process control solution for all displacement and temperature measurement sensors
The company's new 'DD' Series of controllers is designed to match the specific requirements of process control signal visualisation and post-processing of displacement measurement sensor signals The DD241PC is a single channel, 6-digit controller suitable for use with both voltage and current input signals

Widest range of inductive displacement sensors
In its latest 52-page catalogue, precision sensor manufacturer Micro-Epsilon offers the widest range of inductive displacement sensors available, with around 250 different standard sensor types
It has a 12-26V supply signal for powering the displacement sensors and has integrated limit and peak hold functions.
If customers require a simple thickness calculation, the DD245PC is the ideal controller to use.
This unit accepts two sensor signal inputs, has a 6-digit display, integrated mathematical processing functions, two sets of programmable limits, three programmable analogue, two switched and one RS232 output.
The DD214NE is a 1 or 2-channel input controller for incremental digital inputs from TTL or HTL devices.
Similarly, this controller has a 6-digit display and integrated process control functions, including limit setting.
For absolute encoder inputs such as SSI (binary or greyscale), the DD241NA is designed with the same functionality as the DD241NE.
Completing the Micro-Epsilon DD Series is the DD202TA.
This is designed to accept and evaluate two rotational/speed sensor signals.
The unit has integrated programming functions such as ratio, difference, stretching/shrinking, flow, time elapsed with start and stop signal, impulse rate measurement, period or impulse duration.
Chris Jones, Managing Director at Micro-Epsilon (UK), comments: "With the DD Series, there is no need for a PC or PLC, the values are calculated within the controller.
The DD Series was developed with the most common functionality that users required.
This means our target customers - process engineers, systems integrators and panel builders - get a much lower cost, quicker and less complex solution to their process control needs". Request a free brochure from Micro-Epsilon UK ...
