Micro-Robotics, the Cambridge based manufacturer of custom and off-the-shelf embedded control solutions, has introduced a new starter kit for its VM-1 credit-card sized control computer.

The new system supports an Ethernet interface and a QVGA LCD and touch screen, two new developments for the VM-1 system.

All starter kits from Micro-Robotics allow fast turn-around of embedded system development and provide everything required to create a VM-1 application.

The highly cost-effective package comprises a VM-1 controller, two application boards, a 16-key keypad, an alpha-numeric LCD display and Venom-SC, the object-oriented, control-system language designed by Micro-Robotics to be used with the VM-1 controller.

Also supplied is a real time clock/calendar IC, power supply, serial lead and full documentation including a 160 page tutorial guide.

Free technical support is provided for the lifetime of the product.
