Propeller/mixer shows big energy savings
Mixing Solutions reveal a new energy and cost saving combination: the Lancer propeller has been mounted on a Cutlass side-entry mixer for the Exhibition StocExpo Russia, in Finland
Developed to virtually eliminate energy waste, it is being especially welcomed by refineries facing increased demands for product alongside rising costs Refiners operating near maximum capacity must thoroughly blend stored product to ensure that fuel quality specifications are fully met: many mixing processes waste large amounts of electrical energy, which is said to account for roughly half of the refinery operating costs

Propeller/mixer combination cuts refinery energy
The combination of the Lancer propeller, mounted on the Cutlass side-entry mixer from Mixing Solutions has been developed to virtually eliminate energy waste, and reduce refinery energy costs
The Lancer propeller eliminates this energy drain by developing a 'focused flow' that channels power into a jet-stream, maximising efficiency.
The Lancer/Cutlass system also incorporates a mechanical shut-off device engineered to adhere to the strictest environmental regulations, securely 'locking' the system against any leakage during bearing and seal change-out procedures.
Compared to 'pitch adjusted propellers' and other mixing systems, the Lancer generates increased penetration and produces higher upward velocity movement, ensuring that the tank contents are 'rolled' bottom-to-top-to-bottom, for the most accurate blending.
