This Milliflex Rapid Microbiology Detection System and AutoSpray Station form an automated solution for the rapid detection, response, and resolution of microbial contamination in manufacturing processes.

Suitable for a range of pharmaceutical and beverage applications, the detection system improves process control, product yield and the timely release of products.

The Milliflex Rapid system utilises Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) bioluminescence technology, a rapid method detection technology recognised by the FDA PAT initiative, and membrane filtration, which is a recommended methodology in the capture of microorganisms by worldwide pharmacopoeias (US, European and Japan).

The system delivers test results in approximately a quarter the time of traditional microbial contamination detection methods, such as membrane filtration (MF) and pour plates.

With its capacity to detect and count viable microorganisms down to one colony forming unit (CFU), the system delivers reproducible results that correlate with traditional methods.

To further ensure reliability, the detection system uses pre-sterilised, disposable Milliflex filter units for sample preparation.

Easy to operate and validate, the Milliflex Rapid system is 21 CFR Part 11 compliance ready.

For improved detection of living microorganisms, the Milliflex AutoSpray Station delivers a uniform application of bioluminescent reagents in 90 seconds.

A self-priming micropump ensures that a precise volume of preprogrammed reagent is dispensed.

The self-cleaning unit completes its cleaning protocol in five minutes.

The station is compliant with Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 89/336/EEC, and is CE marked accordingly.
