A new low cost low power digital sensor from MMS Electronics is designed to make rapid and easy temperature measurements between -45 and +130 C: it has a robust stainless steel housing

MMS Electronics announce the availability of a new low cost digital sensor probe, designed to make rapid and easy temperature measurements.

Designated the SMT-RVS1801, the digital sensor probe is incorporated in a robust stainless steel housing, creating a sensor probe for use in tough industrial environments.

Measuring 7mm diameter x 40mm length it is provided with a 5 metre cable as standard.

This high quality sensor has a single wire digital PWM output that varies relative to the ambient temperature.

Ready to use temperature acquisition boards that interface to a PC/PLC are available.

The probe has an accuracy of 0.7 degrees C between -30C and +100C and 1.2 degrees between -45C and +130C.

Output is linear to within 0.2C.

Supply voltage is +5V, with a maximum supply current of 200 microamps.

The sensor is pre-calibrated during manufacture and requires no additional external components.

This innovative product has many applications in the process and manufacturing industries.
