An increasing number of Monitran vibration sensors are being used to monitor vibration levels on important plant and components around the water industry, with many being fitted on sites outside the UK Water is becoming an increasingly more precious commodity in the world and new plants are being constructed in many countries for differing water treatments including desalination, purification, waste disposal, irrigation, etc

In order to move the water and chemicals around the various plants, large numbers of motors, gearboxes, centrifuges and pumps are used in the processing of the water.

All of these need to be monitored for increasing vibration levels on bearings and drives so that Maintenance Engineers are aware of plant performance and can assess when efficient repair or replacement can be carried out.

Many of the Monitran vibration sensors have been designed to operate with reliability in the conditions of the water industries.

They offer stainless steel housings sealed up to IP68 and are available with waterproof cable connections and 4-20mA outputs for direct interfacing with PLC systems.

A choice of mechanical fittings are also available with different threaded studs, magnetic attachments and the 'Quick-Fit' adaptors.
