Using a backflushing action the four insets are individually cleaned without using mechanical scrapers.
A specially designed microprocessor monitors the preset differential pressures and operates the valves controlling the backflushing process leading to a long low maintenance service life.
The ProFluid filter insert is a gap-type tube.
Cleaning of the tube is achieved through the combination of backflushing and mechanical scraping.
This cleaning principle makes ProFluid particularly efficient for applications where particles of varying size and geometry have to be filtered out.
The mechanical scrapers remove coarse particles from the tube, and backflushing takes out the near size particles which otherwise would block the gap-type tube.
The cleaning cycle is initiated automatically by monitoring differential pressure across the filter insert and removes the need for regular manual services.
Customers therefore save on running costs.
A further advantage is the defined filter fineness of the Profluid.
This gives very high process reliability.
Plate and Wire gap-type filters are also available with optional motorised insert drives.
The filters have been successfully installed in applications across the process, chemical and water industries treating process water, lubricants, coolants, emulsions, fuels, chemical streams and effluents.
