A new high resolution digital correlator that detects water leaks easily and accurately is being distributed in the UK exclusively by Mans International The Correlux P1, manufactured by Seba KMT, has a reputation with water companies throughout the world for its ease of use, rugged design and rapid result performance

Water leak detectors are designed to minimise water loss and damage by detecting burst pipes and leaks.

Most systems on the market work by timing the rate of water flow through a pipe and shutting of the water supply once it exceeds a pre-defined time.

Unfortunately, many are ineffective at pinpointing the precise position of a leak, especially if more than one is present at any one time.

As a result, repair costs become time consuming and costly.

Correlux P1 digital correlator solves this problem by listening to the noise created as water escapes from a leak under pressure.

It works by comparing the signals from two sensors positioned along a pipe to pick up the noise, then measuring the associated distance between them.

Set-up is easy with a single scrolling menu button, and the entire system can be fully charged within its rugged metal case using a mains adaptor or car adaptor for total portability between jobs on site.

Benefits include fast pre-location through graphic and numerical level displays, simultaneous display of correlation trace and coherence spectrum (for FFT analysis), rapid filter optimisation, autocorrelation for leak location and the ability to measure mixed pipe materials with up to six pipe sections.

Clear results are provided from a large high contrast LCD display for easy reading, 500 mW radio power provides an extensive operating range, and leak noise analysis is possible via transmitter and headphone.

Correlux P1 is manufactured by SebaKMT in Germany, but fully supported in the UK by Mans International, who understands industry demands for fast, accurate reliable analysis equipment to reduce losses through water leakage.
