Moeller Electric has introduced a new generation of position switches conforming to EN 50047 with the release of its LS-Titan range With their positively opening and interlocked opposing contacts to IEC/EN 60 947-5-1, the switches can be used in safety circuits

Rated to IP66, the LS-Titan range can be used in a wide variety of applications and is available in two versions.

With a robust, metal enclosure, the LSM versions are suited to harsh applications, whereas for normal operating conditions, the LS versions have a totally insulated plastic housing, ideal for the food industry among others.

The basic units, with either standard-action or snap-action contacts can be combined with seven interchangeable operating heads, which include plungers, actuating rods and various roller levers.

Each of these heads can be rotated through 4 x 90 degrees for easy installation.

The modular design with vibration proof and maintenance free cage-clamps guarantee fast installation.

A further unique feature is the ability to combine control circuit devices from the RMQ-Titan range with the LS-Titan position switches.

Pushbutton actuators, selector switches or emergency-stop buttons can be simply snapped on to act as the operating head of each position switch.
