Standard light modules, for use in the towers, are available in clear, red, green, yellow and blue, and feature a prismatic design for optimum light dispersion.
They can be supplied in both continuously illuminated and flashing versions, and are suitable for use with ordinary BA15d filament lamps as well as with the long-life LED light sources.
Moeller also offers clear, red and yellow light modules pre-fitted with high-intensity Xenon strobe light sources.
These are well suited to applications where it is desirable to draw immediate attention to specific machine conditions, especially in noisy environments where audible alarms may not be easily heard.
The modules can be combined as required to make up a signal tower, a process that is made fast and simple by an innovative twist-and-lock bayonet assembly system.
Individual modules can be quickly programmed by means of wire jumpers, which means that their operation is independent of their physical position in the column.
Base modules, to which external connections are made, are available with screw-clamp or spring-clamp terminals, as well as in versions for use with the AS-i field-wiring system.
To maximise their versatility, Moeller Electric SL signal towers are available with a choice of mounting options.
These include direct mounting of the base module, mounting on a fixing base that can be combined with spacer tubes to increase the elevation of the tower, and wall mounting with the aid of brackets.
Towers that incorporate only light modules have an IP54 ingress protection rating, which can be increased to IP65 by the use of optional sealing gaskets.
Audible alarm modules have an IP20 rating.
All modules are available in versions to suit 24V AC/DC and 110-230V AC supplies.
