Glasson Group, a supplier with a strong reputation for reliably delivering high-quality fertilizers direct to farmers all over the North UK, has recently installed its third Mogensen vibratory screen

The Glasson Group, which has built up a strong reputation over the past 15 years for reliably delivering high-quality fertilisers direct to farmers all over the North of England and Southern Scotland, has recently installed its third Mogensen vibratory screen.

The first two machines were delivered early in 2004 and are used to screen various meals and pulses at the Glasson Dock plant near Lancaster.

The latest screen, a Type SRSL 1500/1000 11/4, is working at their Winmarleigh plant near Garstang in Lancashire, handling 120tph of granular and prilled fertiliser, the duty being to remove oversize particles.

The machine is made of stainless steel to withstand corrosion and is fitted with a single 10mm stainless steel mesh.

It was supplied complete with its own support frame, which allows for easy screen angle adjustment, and is powered by an Invicta Model BL24-11/4 (500 watt) rotary electric vibrator.

This may be run either with or against the product flow to provide further control of product residence time.

The screen was installed by Pace Projects Northern Limited of Heysham, Lancashire and is reported to be operating satisfactorily and according to the customer expectations.
