Hot ash screening with Mogensen
Mogensen Raw Materials Handling has recently supplied a special high-temperature vibratory screen for the processing of hot, -200mm coal-fired boiler economiser ash at an Irish power station
The order follows the successful operation of two 1650tph Mogensen heavy-duty feeders, which were commissioned at Mountsorrel during the summer of 2004.
This latest feeder, a Type TS3 1550/3650 - 125/6, will be installed at an angle of 20 degrees under the primary crushed stone stockpile and is capable of handling 2,500 tph of less than 300mm sized granite.
The unit is 3650mm long x 1550mm wide and is driven by two 10kW Invicta BLz 60 - 125/6 rotary electric vibrators, which generate a linear vibration of up to 9mm stroke at 960cpm.
The Mountsorrel stone is extremely abrasive: the feeder trough is, therefore, protected by replaceable, chrome-carbide wear sections.
