Mogensen reports a very successful appearance at this year's RWM exhibition, where they had a record number of enquiries from presenting their concrete recycling plant vibratory feeder

Mogensen reports a very successful appearance at this year's RWM exhibition, which resulted in a record number of enquiries Encouraged by the amount of interest shown, the Company has already reserved a stand at RWM 2007

This year's stand featured a heavy-duty, hydraulically-powered vibratory feeder of a type, which is finding increasing application in mobile concrete recycling plants in locations, where a power supply is not available.

Such plants have hitherto been equipped with a conveyor belt to remove processed material from the crusher outlet.

This arrangement has the disadvantage that reinforcing bars frequently puncture and rip the belt resulting in serious downtime and cost consequences.

The robust Mogensen unit is placed between the crusher outlet and the conveyor belt to absorb the impact of the crushed concrete and align the pieces of reinforcing steel so as to ensure that they do not hit the belt end-on and become jammed.

The unit displayed on this year's stand was a Type TRH 1130/2200 - HV276 machine with a capacity of 260tph.

It is powered by two Invicta, Type HV 40-27/6/960/YK, rotary hydraulic vibrators, each generating a centrifugal force of 2700kg.

The oil requirement for each at 960 rpm is 28.8 litre/minute with a starting pressure of 55.84Bar.

Larger capacity hydraulic feeders are available; a 400tph unit will shortly be delivered to a further customer.

This range of feeders is designed to meet the headroom restrictions, which are a common feature of mobile recycling plant.
