Mogensen has received an order from Chile's largest iron ore producer, Compania Minera del Pacifico SA, for two three-metre wide, 5-deck Mogensen Sizers and two matching vibratory spreader-feeders

The equipment is scheduled for delivery in March/April 2008 and will be installed at the Romeral Mine located some 500 km north of Santiago The machines will be working ahead of but in circuit with a Barmac Type 9100SE VSI Crusher and handling a mixture of fresh iron ore and crushed material recycled from the Barmac totalling 655tph

The Sizers are designed to extract approximately 200tph of minus 2mm ore from the feed, which is expected to be in the size range, 0 - 10 mm.

The fine material will be carried forward for further size reduction by milling.

The Sizers and feeders will be fully dust-proofed and all necessary dust-tight, flexible connectors are included in the contract.

The Sizers are each powered by two 6200 watt, counter-rotating Invicta Type Blz60-105/6 rotary electric vibrators, and the feeders each by two 1800 watt Type Blz40-27/6 units.

Mogensen Sizers are widely used for iron-ore screening by, amongst others, Corus in the UK and the Netherlands, and LKAB in Sweden.

This latest order reinforces the Mogensen strong presence in the South American minerals industry.
