More Mogensen equipment for Chile
More Mogensen Equipment for Chile Mogensen Raw Materials Handling has received a further substantial order, which builds on their already strong presence in the minerals processing sector in Chile
The contract comprises a Type S3056 Mogensen Sizer, a vibratory spreader feeder and spares to cover 2000 hours of operation.
The Sizer will be supplied complete with support frame, and both machines will be fully dust-proofed and fitted in vulnerable areas with wear-resistant panels, either Creusabro steel or rubber depending on the location within the machines.
The Mogensen equipment, designed to handle up to 650tph of copper ore, will be installed in circuit with and prior to a Barmac XD120 crusher as part of a USD10 million project to increase capacity at the SCM Carola Cerrillos plant near Copiapo in northern Chile from 65,000 to 220,000 tonnes per month.
The Sizer will mostly be extracting fines below 4mm as required product at a rate of ca 200tph, but, if on occasion a need to increase the production of fines arises, it is planned to change the bottom decks, a simple procedure, to adjust the separation to 6mm.
In this case the rate of fines production would increase to ca 280tph and the feed rate to ca 840tph.
Mogensen pneumatic mesh cleaning equipment will be fitted to the bottom screen decks.
The project is managed by Industrias Coemin of Santiago, and on-site work is in the hands of Ginkel Ingenieria.
Delivery will take place in August 2008.
