Alan's appointment will enable Mono to provide more rapid response to enquiries from customers in this region, and his local industry knowledge will further improve the level of service available to those customers.
Mono has also underlined its commitment to the strategically important Chinese market with the recent opening of its new assembly and stock holding plant in Shanghai.
As the first major European manufacturer of progressing cavity pumps and macerating equipment to take this significant step, Mono is now able to offer its Chinese customers a locally based assembly, service and support capability, which allows them to benefit from significantly reduced lead times, enhanced aftermarket services and improved spares supply.
Based in a 6,000 sq mtr complex belonging to the Mono parent company, National Oilwell, the new facility will initially focus on supporting customers in the water and wastewater sectors, and future plans will allow the facility to expand and extend the scope of its services into the chemical, pulp and paper sectors.
Mono has also emphasised its commitment to the Shanghai region with the appointment of William Tan who brings considerable industry experience to his new role as Regional Manager, Environmental Industry.
