Mono reaches 100 million US dollar turnover

Mono Pumps, the manufacturer of pumps and specialist wastewater and oilfield equipment, has passed an important milestone, 100 million dollars of yearly turnover!

Mono Pumps, the manufacturer of pumps and specialist wastewater and oilfield equipment, has passed an important milestone.

The worldwide sales for their last financial year exceeded 100 Million US Dollars.

Significant growth has been achieved in the oilfield market through their operation in Houston, Texas.

In 2004, Mono opened an assembly shop and a sales presence in Shanghai, China and started to penetrate the Chinese market, following the appointment of their first sales engineers in Beijing a year earlier.

Commenting on the announcement, Mono Group Managing Director Paul Naylon said, "The recent figures demonstrate that our improved understanding of our customer needs is having a positive impact on our sales growth.

The growth in sales achieved by the Mono team is even more commendable as many of our traditional markets have had minimal growth in GDP." As well as pursuing strategy initiatives to generate business growth, Mono has also been working on several initiatives that will improve the health and safety of its employees and also play its part in improving the environment.

One of the benefits from these initiatives is the reduction in injuries caused in the workplace.

Between 2003 and 2004, the company achieved a 74% reduction in the number of days lost due to industrial injuries.

This has been achieved by introducing new working practices and procedures and an ongoing training program for employees.
