Moore Industries International, a leader in the design and manufacture of electronic measurement and interface instruments for the process industries, is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2008

The company products are used by virtually every Fortune 500 manufacturing company, including those that produce chemicals, petroleum, power, paper, food and beverages, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology products Moore Industries is best known for the highest quality signal interface technologies

Product lines include signal transmitters, isolators and converters, temperature sensors, transmitters and assemblies, alarm trips, smart HART loop monitors and interfaces, and distributed I/O and data communication systems.

Most recently, the company acquired a fieldbus technology division and created MooreHawke Fieldbus Worldwide to provide interconnection devices for Foundation Fieldbus and Profibus systems.

Serving the process control industry since 1968, Moore Industries is consistently rated highly in product quality and customer satisfaction.

Known throughout the process control industries as the Interface Solution Experts, Moore Industries is currently ranked the 12th largest manufacturing company in the Los Angeles San Fernando Valley.

Still privately-held by founder and CEO Leonard W Moore, the company has come a long way from humble garage beginnings when Moore designed and built the company's first electronic signal converters.

Starting with the original line of six signal interfaces, Moore Industries has had continued success serving a large, global customer base.

In addition to its world headquarters and manufacturing facilities in the city of North Hills, Moore Industries has sales and service centres located worldwide.

According to Moore, "We are very proud to still be designing and making our products right here in the Los Angeles area.

It may sound trite, but our people really are the key.

All of the industry awards are great, but the accomplishment I am most proud of is that at least half of our employees have been with us for over ten years.

Many have been here at least 25 years, and we even have a few that have been with us since the beginning.

How many 40 year old companies can say that? We are confident that through technological innovation and continued collaboration with our customers, we will remain an industry leader providing the best in industrial electronic interface solutions well into the future".

Editor's note: Does Leonard Moore still fly the Forney Ercoupe you might well ask: http://www.processingtalk.com/news/mor/mor117.html ? That was one of the best read stories on Processingtalk in the month it was published: which just goes to show that there is a more active interest in old aeroplanes than there is in fieldbus interfaces! I can relate to that...
