European Sales Manager sought

As part of the Monicon Technology business expansion, we wish to recruit a Galway-based European Sales Manager, to manage, support and grow our indirect gas detector sales network in Europe

Founded in 1988, Monicon Technology specialise in the design, development and manufacture of advanced, high quality, fixed electronic gas detection and gas monitoring instruments.

The Monicon Technology innovative design concepts, in conjunction with stringent quality controlled manufacturing systems, produce instrumentation which is recognised worldwide as being of the highest quality by many of the leading chemical, pharmaceutical, semi-conductor and food and beverage companies.

As part of our business expansion, we now require a Galway-based European Sales Manager to manage, support and grow our indirect sales network in Europe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering revenue growth in Europe through the business development of existing distributors and the addition of new distribution channels, with the primary responsibility of maximising sales revenues/profitability and achieving agreed monthly targets.

Requirements:.

* Must have third-level engineering qualification, ideally in electronics or chemistry.

* Must possess a combination of technical sales and business acumen; having a focused approach to seeking out and winning new business as well as achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets.

* Must have an excellent sales track record with customer facing and sales presentation skills, ideally in the fixed gas detection or industrial instrumentation market sector.

* Must be highly organised, enthusiastic and committed, with a target driven approach.

* Must have a quietly confident, outgoing and charismatic personality.

* Must be highly focused and possess a strong work ethic.

* Must be a team player with very strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

* The ability to speak a Continental European language would be an advantage.

* Must have a full Irish or other EU drivers licence.
