Easily measure the concentration of sludges or slurries without the reading being affected by colour, using the Markland Model 502 Suspended Solids Meter

The Model 502 uses the attenuation of ultrasound to read the suspended solids concentration The meter can be mounted in open top tanks or pipelines

It measures slurries that are too thick for optical methods.

Ultrasound is inherently safe so it requires no permits or regulatory approvals to operate.

The meter can be used in drinking water plants to measure the concentration of the backwash sludge, or in clarifiers.

In wastewater treatment plants it is used to measure primary, secondary and returned activated sludges.

Markland offers free testing of your samples.

After the test we will send you a report showing the meter response over your range of interest.
