Matsushita Electric Works has introduced the NAiS P400S vision system, providing users with a compact and powerful device particularly suitable for demanding industrial environments.

The P400S offers flexibility and ease of use, enabling users to be up and running quickly, whatever their vision application.

The P400S is very compact, measuring just 91 x 110 x 182mm, making it suitable for easy integration into industrial environments where machine space may be constrained.

The P400S is a PC based device with a Windows NT operating system that combines powerful hardware and image-processing software designed to meet the high performance needs of today's vision users.

The Vision P400 software is based on one of the most advanced image processing libraries in the world, offering the user considerable flexibility when configuring the system to the required application.

Providing a fast and easy on-screen setup of inspection checkers, routines and a large amount of ready-to-use high-quality inspection functions, the P400S vision system and the Vision P400 software requires no programming experience of the user.

The new vision system is shipped with the Vision P400 application software already installed making it inspection ready.

Up to four 1Megapixel CCD cameras can be connected to the P400S for highly accurate monitoring.

Alternatively, up to 4 separate applications can be monitored using one camera for each application.

Connectivity interfaces include, but are not limited to: Firewire, Ethernet, USB, RS232C and digital I/O through a parallel port.

As part of the total P400S package, Matsushita offers free technical advice, application evaluation and on site demonstrations.
