The benefits of the Monition partnership support agreement include remote technical support, which provides site engineers with access to the Monition UK-based support team for guidance in condition monitoring and data analysis.
At the site request, Monition also has the facility to log onto a plant's ICT network via the internet, and provide support with real-time data analysis and database management - assisting engineers as they work at their PC desktops.
Providing an onsite presence, Monition specialists have already conducted troubleshoots on problematic plant in Libya and assisted the CM team there to eliminate a number of long-standing asset reliability problems.

Successes include averting an expensive and unnecessary specialist overhaul of a faulty sea water pump - one of eight supplying cooling water to an entire petrochemical site - by correctly diagnosing resonance in the plant's 40-foot structure.
Currently, Monition is assisting one site CM team to conduct comprehensive investigations into a problematic steam turbine compressor assembly.
Identifying the root-cause of the excessive vibration levels that are compromising the efficiency of the asset will avert a multi-million pound redesign of the plant.
Monition has provided onsite asset management and condition monitoring training to bring site teams up to speed on the latest diagnostic theory and techniques.
Training in oil management, analysis and sample collection has enabled the site in Libya to kickstart their new oil analysis programme.
On-going training and support is provided on-line via a specially designed support website, providing engineers with access to Monition 'Novameter' vibration analysis training, comprehensive 'Oil Diagnostics Manual' training programme, and asset management instruction templates.
"Clients today are looking for more than just the supply of condition monitoring services and technology," said Mike Burrows, Monition Managing Director: "Monition Asset Management and Remote Support Service provides the benefit to customers of an industrial partner with specialist diagnostics expertise and the resource to develop the capabilities of their own people and skill-base, in the growing need to understand how to manage assets more effectively.".
