'Our knowledge and backgrounds allowed us to discover candidates with the perfect mix of technical and commercial experience, even though their CVs may not have been the obvious starting point' says Ovenden: 'we view candidate profiles differently to other recruitment agencies and I wouldn't recommend anyone unless I were prepared to employ them if I were the client'.
The success has also been seen in their extensive training schedule, with a successful Commercial and Contract Awareness Seminar under their belt in November 2007, they have continued in 2008 with a fully booked seminar with 44 delegates on Vibration Shaker Testing at the end of January.
'The demand has been so high for places on our second seminar that we have had to set up a repeat date on April 10 2008, for which we have already had 11 bookings' Ovenden continues: 'The demand comes from companies both big and small, so again it shows there is a need for our brand of consultancy'.
As for the Business Development side, NDO have been instrumental in guiding product launches, development, packaging, marketing and sales for several leading instrumentation suppliers and resellers.
Doug Ovenden, the NDO Consultants Commercial Director, comments, 'We have seen that within the technical arena, the UK can be proud of its high standard of engineering innovation and development, however some of these technical people need a helping hand when it comes to packaging a product for maximum market penetration.
There are very few engineers who possess the skills to engage the sales and marketing aspect of business as well as the technology, this is where we have proven ourselves as successful'.
