With their possible separation results these machines have proved to be highly efficient.
This is achieved particularly by a very high dispersing effect (HD = High Dispersion) before the product is separated via a classifier wheel.
Around the classifier wheel, guide vanes are installed, which disperse the feed product with clean gas and then guide it directly to the classifier wheel.

Thanks to the high number of dispersing points and the short distance to the classifier wheel the product does not agglomerate again.
A further reason for the excellent separation results is the geometry of the classifier wheel itself.
With the introduction of the classifier wheel "ConVor", an execution, which has constant radial speeds in the inner part of the wheel, it was possible to reach a further range of finenesses, which had previously been unobtainable with the vane wheel air classifiers already existing on the market.
And this on a production scale! This optimised classifier wheel design guarantees, that very high finenesses can be obtained at high throughput capacities with only one classifier wheel.
Complicated constructions with several classifier wheels in one machine unit are a thing of the past! The screw-shaped design of the housing optimises the product flow within the unit.
This allows large amounts of coarse product to be discharged unhindered.
Accessibility and easy cleaning of the machine are guaranteed by the housing door, which can be opened on hinges and the removable guide vane basket.
The high-performance fine-classifier of the line of products CFS/HD-S is available in a large number of sizes and machine executions.
The materials are selected to suit the requirements of the product to be processed.
Carbon steel as well as stainless steel are standard.
For the processing of very hard and abrasive products, the machines can be delivered with wear-protection e.g a Vulkollan-lining of the machine housing and of the guide-vane basket, ceramic-lined guide vane baskets and fines outlet as well as classifier wheels in ceramic or in a hard-metal execution.
For the execution and arrangement of the fine-classifier, several versions are available.
The basis for this is the positioning of the classifier with drive on a mutual base frame.
The product feed into the machine is usually carried out via a double-flap valve or rotary valve.
A further option for the feeding of the product is a pneumatic transport of the product to be classified via an approx 10% part of the total-classifying air.
The transport of the screened "fine product" is carried out via a piping from the fines outlet of the machine to a fully-automatic dust filter.
The "coarse product" is discharged on the lower side of the machine via a double-flap valve.
The generation of the process air is carried out by a blower, installed behind the dust filter.
For the processing of dust-explosive products, the machine and plant parts are available in pressure-shock resistant construction [up to 10 bar(g)], a frequently needed option.
Products, which react with oxygen, and cannot be processed with normal classifier air, can be classified using a different process medium, such as nitrogen, under controlled, inert conditions.
A closed loop system in the complete plant is a necessity, in order to reduce the operating costs.
The correct machine-size and execution is selected according to the product, application and/or mass flow rate.
Tests on the high-performance fine-classifiers can be carried out in the Netzsch-Condux test lab in Hanau by appointment.
