Specialist technical and engineering recruitment company, NES has appointed a new recruitment consultant to its Aberdeen-based office, reinforcing its current success.

David Shedden's HR experience at a leading design consultancy has prepared him well for his new role, where he'll be working within project support disciplines while strengthening the mechanical and piping aspects of the Aberdeen office.

Gavin Maitland, regional director of Scotland, who oversees the activities of the Aberdeen office, says: "There is a huge need for personnel within the oil and gas industry in the region at the moment, which has led to an overwhelming demand for our services.

The appointment of David follows a recent move for the Aberdeen office that was required in order to accommodate an increasing workforce, reflecting the growth of our business in the region and preparing us for anticipated future development.

"David has joined at a time when we are beginning to see the benefits of our Aberdeen and Glasgow offices working more closely together and I am expecting this, coupled with his appointment, to have a strong influence on our future success," Gavin concludes.
