Specialist technical, engineering, rail and IT recruitment company, NES, recently welcomed the Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, Warren J Smith Esq, to present a new Queen's Award to NES

In his first official engagement since his recent appointment, the Lord-Lieutenant presented NES chief executive, Neil Tregarthen with the Queen's Award for Enterprise for International Trade, and met directly with the people who have been instrumental in the company's success - its employees.

"It is extremely pleasing that we have been able to hold this presentation ceremony at the head office, where a large number of our employees can receive the acknowledgement they deserve for contributing to the success of the business," said Neil, speaking before the ceremony: "As well as being of great significance to the UK staffing sector, where recruitment agencies that offer substantial value to their candidates and clients are not always recognised for doing so, this award is also an illustration to our stakeholders that we have real aspirations for excellence in our chosen sectors of operation both at home and abroad," he concluded.
