Designed for safety officers, managers, engineers and operators, Newson Gale have published a comprehensive multilingual training package covering electrostatic hazards involved in process operations.

Developed in co-operation with the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), the package contains everything required to run professional training and awareness sessions on an on-going basis, whether it be for experienced process engineers, operatives, new appointees, contractors or plant visitors.

Static Electricity is often the ignition source for fires and explosions in industrial hazardous areas, and the consequences of a serious incident can be very costly to an organisation in terms of personnel health and safety, direct plant and property damage and lost production/downtime.

Causes of static electricity, the danger of static sparks, and measures available to control or eliminate them, are clearly explained on the 25 minute video section of the combined DVD and DVD-ROM package.

For advanced staff training the package includes a detailed IChemE slide presentation, while for new staff induction there are three sets of downloadable/printable test questions to ensure that static risks are clearly understood before a new operative starts work in a hazardous area.

Also included is a technical handbook detailing international guidelines for installing and maintaining static earthing and bonding control measures in many typical applications.

Newson Gale have over 25 years practical experience as specialist manufacturers of the Cenelectrex range of static control equipment for hazardous areas.

For more information on the new Cenelectrex DVD Training Package, or to find out more about their specialised range of products and services, please contact the company at their Nottingham, UK offices.
