XL2 XRF analyser suitable for tougher applications

A Niton product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Oct 14, 2009

The new XL2 XRF analyser from Niton UK combines a tough and durable exterior with sophisticated electronics to produce an XRF instrument suited to more arduous applications.

The XL2's ease of operation makes it suited for use in applications such as metal-alloy analysis and sorting, mining, product screening and PMI (positive material identification).

The XL2 allows the user to simply 'point and shoot', providing rapid results displayed on a full-colour screen.

Even non-technical persons can easily operate the instrument.

A comprehensive software suite, provided with the instrument, allows customisation of the analyser.

User permissions can be set and custom reports and personalised certificates readily produced.

The new XL2 also allows simple data transfer to a PC or similar using connections via USB cable or Bluetooth technology to make communication of the results and subsequent analysis or print-out quick and efficient.

It has a yellow outer casing to differentiate it from the higher-spec Niton XL3t.

In the UK, all Niton XRF instruments are supported with a comprehensive warranty and service facilities, with an extended preventative maintenance contract available as an option.
